QUATEST belongs to the Directorate for Standards and Quality of the Ministry of Science and Technology is the professional scientific organization under the Directorate for Standards and Quality serving State management on standardization, metrology, quality and other services to organizations and individuals. It has the following functions:

• Testing, assessment and technical inspection of quality, hygienic, safety of product, goods, services, materials, building components, projects and construction;
• Verification and calibration and assessment of measuring equipment, measuring system;
• Certification of products and services in compliance with standards and technical requirements;
• Monitoring and assessment of environmental conditions;
• Consultancy for establishment and implement action of Quality Management Systems, improved instrumentation aimed at improving productivity and quality of the products, services and testing laboratory;
• Training, provision for the technical professions of quality, metrology, testing, transfer of technology, management systems, quality management tools and other relevant requirements.
